Single-Car Crash Kills Marietta Man On I-75 S
Police said the man lost control of his car on the interstate.
MARIETTA, GA — A man died near Delk Road after police said he lost control of his car on the interstate early Sunday.
According to the Marietta Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Interstate 75 south, at the Delk Road exit ramp.
The man was identified by police as James Appleton, 52, of Marietta.

Police said Appleton was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger but lost control of the car and went across all traffic lanes before hitting the center barrier wall. He was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died, police said.
Police said it is unknown why Appleton lost control of the car.
