Son Finds His Father Shot, Killed Inside A Marietta Home
The victim's son called police and said he had just found his father shot inside his home.
MARIETTA, GA -- A man was shot and killed inside his Marietta home on Saturday. Police were called to the Hardage Farm Drive home around 4:30 pm after a 911 caller said he had just entered his home and found his father had just been shot and appeared dead. Police arrived and found the victim, who has been identified as Douglas Wayne Attaway, 59.
According to police, the 911 caller was Daniel Walden Attaway, 24.
Police are still investigating, but Marietta police are assuring local residents that this appears to be an isolated incident and "there is no reason for concern," the department said.
