Authors love to get good feedback on their books. I'd like to share some I've gotten for Stopped Cold. Readers say it's emotion-packed, an important story, one that touches on tough subjects, makes you think and has plenty of action.
Here's an excerpt from a reader's review: "Balancing the dire situation in which Sean finds himself is the sweet and beautiful relationship between brother and sister. Maggie’s efforts to make things better for Sean lead to a suspenseful storyline as she and her supportive friends take on the bad guys. There is enough action to appeal to teens as the message of the book is revealed. We all are precious in God’s sight, just as He made us... "
Another reader said: "What a wonderful read. The author showed great care in combining a very important life lesson along with a revelation of inner spiritual growth, as well as a realization of how faith in God can work in mysterious ways in ones life..."
One more: "This is a great read. I recommend it for teens or adults alike. It certainly kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next when Margaret, Jimmy, and their friend, Emily, go out looking to stop dangerous drug dealers. There's plenty of action and emotion."
I'm grateful to these readers and humbled by their comments. On Saturday, December 7, I'll have an exciting book signing at Sweet Spirit Parable Christian Store, 1205 Johnson Ferry Rd., Mareitta, from noon to three.
