Teachers or Students? See Who Won GCA’s Annual Hoops Contest!

The Student Council of Georgia Cyber Academy hosted their third annual Heatwave Event with a Student v. Faculty Basketball Game!

Cheers and laughter at Georgia Cyber Academy’s (GCA) third annual Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game. The event was sponsored and planned by the GCA Student Council Association. Twenty-five high school students were matched up against eight faculty members.

“Relationship building is a key factor for student achievement,” said Staci Kimmons, Academic Administrator at GCA. “At events like this, students can get together with their peers, and get to know their teachers on a whole different level. It’s also an important opportunity for parents to meet one another and build their network.”

In addition to watching the exciting basketball game, students and family members had fun off the court. Halftime included an intense game of tug-of-war for students and family members. Other games and activities gave the GCA community an opportunity to connect and create lasting memories.
