The 2016 Walton High Academic Bowl team made it to the playoff round of the NAQT High School National Championship in Dallas, Texas. The Walton Raiders competed against 271 teams from across the nation.The Walton team includes Anoop Gangireddy, Michael Hu, Alan McDonald,Lauren Nichols, Jumshaid Yamin and teacher and coach Matt Edelstein. They were invited to compete in the National Championship after winning the Cobb County tournament and placing third in the Georgia State Championship in Class AAAAAA.
