What is Happening to Our Supreme Court?

Professor Eric J. Segall will talk about nominating and confirming a Supreme Court Justice in an election year.

The League of Women Voters of Marietta-Cobb invites the public to join them at their annual meeting on Saturday, May 21 from 9-11 AM. The speaker will be Eric J. Segall, a Kathy and Lawrence Ashe Professor of Law at Georgia State University. Professor Segall teaches federal courts and constitutional law. He is the author of the book "Supreme Myths: Why the Supreme Court is Not a Court and its Justices are Not Judges". Professor Segall will speak on "The Supreme Court - Our Political Court" and share insights on the political fight over nominating and approving our next Supreme Court Justice in 2016. Breakfast can be ordered from 9-9:30 AM, followed by our speaker at 10 AM. Reservations are necessary as seating is limited.
