What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Week In Cobb County
State, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will be taking a break during the holiday week.

MARIETTA, GA - Most government offices and lots of businesses will be closing this week in Cobb County as we observe Thanksgiving.
Here's a rundown of what's open and what's closed in Cobb for Thanksgiving 2017:
- All Cobb County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Cobb Community Transit - There will be no bus service, Paratransit service or Paratransit reservation service on Thanksgiving Day. For a detailed look at operating dates and times surrounding Thanksgiving, click here.
- Cobb County and Marietta City schools are closed for the Thanksgiving break from Monday, Nov. 20, through Friday, Nov. 24.
- The sanitation/recycling schedule in Smyrna will adjust as follows: Monday and Tuesday routes unchanged; Thursday and Friday routes picked up on Wednesday. No yard waste or large items picked up this week.
- All Cobb libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and be closed Thursday and Friday. They reopen as normal on Saturday, Nov. 25.
- The Smyrna Public Library will close early Wednesday at 6 p.m., and will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed Thursday.
- City offices, including Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Austell and Acworth, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Marietta Power and Water offices also will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday.
