Woman Dead, 2 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Marietta Pileup On I-75
The woman was a pedestrian who was helping with the first crash, when she was hit by a car that had lost control near the scene.
MARIETTA, GA — A woman died, and two others were injured, in a multi-vehicle pileup Saturday on Interstate 75 south near the Delk Road exit ramp.
Marietta Police said Saturday the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. A Kia Sedona was heading south on the interstate, where the driver lost control of the Kia for unknown reasons, police said.
The Sedona went across all lanes and hit the median barrier before going back across all lanes and hitting a right guard rail, police said. The Sedona, partially stopped in the far right lane, was hit by multiple vehicles, police said.

Simultaneously, a black Dodge Challenger in the far right lane also lost control and hit two pedestrians that were stopped on the right-hand shoulder as they tried to report the initial crash and render aid, police said.
Sarah Bolt, 38, of Monroe, was identified by police as one of the pedestrians. Police said she was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died of those injuries.

The driver of the Sedona sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene. The second pedestrian was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Challenger was not injured and was released at the scene.
