Woodstock Woman Charged With Murder In Fatal Marietta Shooting

Police said an argument between the two women turned deadly when one of them was punched in the face and shot the other woman.

MARIETTA, GA — A 28-year-old Woodstock woman is in jail after Marietta Police said she shot and killed another woman accused of punching her in her face.

Police said Wednesday the deadly shooting happened around 8 p.m. Saturday at a Roosevelt Circle residence. The two women engaged in a verbal argument, which led to the shooting.

Tyeshia Price, 36, of Marietta, was accused of punching Kiyanna Brito in the face during the argument. Police said Brito then produced a 40-caliber Glock 23 pistol and shot Price in her neck, killing Price.

Brito was arrested Wednesday morning and charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and homicide-murder, police said. She was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police said.
