UPDATE: Wreck Closes Portion of Burnt Hickory Road
Power lines were knocked down by the accident; traffic may not be restored for another several hours.

Marietta police are urging motorists to avoid Burnt Hickory Road for the next three hours while investigators work a car crash.
Police said Burnt Hickory Road between Polk Street and Old Mountain Road is closed due an accident which saw power lines knocked to the ground. It may take up to three hours for the scene to be cleaned up and for traffic to be restored to normal, spokesman Benjamin Mixon said.
A detour has been established around the affected area, Mixon said.
