500,000 Expected in Atlanta Over Labor Day Weekend
Dragon Con, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff and Black Gay Pride are only some of this weekend's activities.

ATLANTA, GA — A half million visitors are expected to descend upon Atlanta as Labor Day, one of the city's biggest economic weekends, gets underway, according to the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
The Atlanta Falcons play their final preseason game against the Jacksonsville Jaguars Thursday night at the Georgia Dome, the first in several major sporting events over the weekend:
Friday, Sept. 2 -- Georgia State University football against Ball State, at the Georgia Dome

Saturday, Sept. 3 -- UGA vs. North Carolina, in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, at the Georgia Dome

- The Atlanta Braves play the Philadelphia Phillies in a three-game series at Turner Field from Friday through Sunday.
- Dragon Con 2016 is being held at several downtown Atlanta hotels, with more than 70,000 people expected to attend.
- AC/DC is performing Sept. 1 at Philips Arena.
- Black Gay Pride weekend runs through Sept. 5.
Atlanta officials are urging people attending any events downtown to ride MARTA.
