According to WSB-TV, Det. Charron Walters was assisting a search warrant on a chop shop when she says she noticed fellow investigators taking car parts from a truck. She reported the incident to her superiors, and even named names.

However, since making the report, Walters says she’s been reassigned four times and put behind a desk. She believes it’s the department’s way at getting back at her for reporting what she saw. A judge saw it differently, WSB-TV says; Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams ruled that Walters’ testimony did not prove that her reassignments were retaliatory in nature.

The officers involved in Walters’ complaint were reprimanded for improper handling of evidence, but the thefts Walters allegedly saw were not mentioned in the reprimands, WSB-TV says.
