Atlanta is No. 1 Winter Holiday Destination in the Nation

Atlanta is the nation’s No. 1 travel destination for cold weather, holiday ventures, according to a new survey from WalletHub.

In anticipation of the holiday season, WalletHub analysts compared 69 of the largest metropolitan statistical areas, or MSAs, to find the best winter-travel destinations for both warm- and cold-weather lovers. It analyzed 26 metrics, ranging from the cost of the cheapest flight to the number of attractions in each winter vacation spot.

Atlanta had excellent scores in the metrics of local attractions, low costs, weather conditions and cold-weather attractions.
