LifeLine Animal Project at Fulton Wants 30 Adoptions by November 30, and Meet our Pets of the Week

LifeLine Animal Project is experiencing super high intake levels at our Fulton County Animal Services shelter and is running extremely low on space. During October, the shelter took in more animals than most Atlanta shelters take in all year -- over 700! To encourage everyone to adopt or foster, we are holding a “30 Adoptions by November 30” promotion for 30 urgent dogs. During this promotion, all dogs over 25 lbs. may be adopted for only $42.50, and all cats may be adopted for only $22.50, including the pet’s spay or neuter, microchip and vaccinations. This offer extends to all of our shelter animals too, so that we can free up space and save lives!

LifeLine at Fulton’s Pets of the Week: Betty and Rachel

Meet Betty, a wonderful 10-year-old girl who is the gentlest soul you will ever meet. Betty adores people and her calm and very pleasant nature makes her the perfect companion for an elderly person, a family with little kids or anyone in between. According to her foster mom, “Whether Betty is getting a bath, taking walks around the block, hanging out in her crate or just snuggling on the couch, she will look up at you with her sweet brown eyes, and you’ll know how much she loves you.” Even though Betty’s activity level is low, she still enjoys walking around the block once or twice a day. The rest of the time, she is content taking quick trips to the back yard in between snoozes on the couch or in her crate (she is wonderful in her crate and also house trained). Betty has also gotten used to her foster brother and even plays in the yard with him. Can you give Betty the love she so deserves in her golden years? In return, you’ll get plenty of snuggles and a whole lot of love!

Our feline of the week is an adorable kitten named Rachel. This six-month-old girl has stunning green eyes and is a real beauty! Rachel is active and loves to play with other kittens and human friends. She also enjoys exploring the house, and when she is finished playing and exploring, she likes to find a cozy lap to nap on. Rachel’s foster mom says that she is completely litterbox trained, super affectionate and the best cuddlebug ever!
