Atlanta Watershed Management crews will work to repair a damaged water main in Midtown starting late Friday, hoping to avoid any traffic issues caused by closing one lane of traffic.

One westbound lane of the 600 block of Ponce de Leon Avenue NE between Glen Iris Drive and Ponce de Leon Place will be shut down starting at 11 p.m. for the work, Watershed Management announced Friday afternoon. Crews will be in the area until the repairs are completed.
Water service for the area will be interrupted while the repairs are in progress and will be restored once repairs are complete, Watershed Management said.
