Portions Of Atlanta Beltline Closing on Monday

Detour routes will be established for connection between Eastside Trail and Historic Fourth Ward Park.

ATLANTA, GA — The Beltline's Gateway Trail to and from the Historic Fourth Ward Park will be closed beginning Monday, August 22 for about one week.

Here are the details

  • Accessing Historic Fourth Ward Park from the Eastside Trail: From the Gateway Trail access, walk north along the Eastside Trail to Ponce City Market. After crossing the North Avenue Bridge, at the public plaza, there is a set of stairs or elevator that will take pedestrians and bicyclists down to North Avenue. At North Avenue, travel west to the crosswalk at the Ponce City Market drive entrance. There is a pedestrian activated signal so you can cross the street safely into Historic Fourth Ward Park.
  • Accessing the Eastside Trail from Historic Fourth Ward Park: Travel along North Angier Road or through the Park to the northernmost part of the park. Use the crosswalk across from the Ponce City Market drive entrance, to cross North Avenue. Travel east along North Avenue to the stairs and elevator adjacent to the parking deck.
