Is This Vital Atlanta Facility a No-Fly Zone For Uber?
Officials say that any commercial companies "operating illegally" are liable for citations and impounds on their property.

An Uber driver found himself in hot water and temporary car-less after attempting to pick up a passenger from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport late last month.

According to WSB-TV, the driver was cited and his car was impounded by an Atlanta police officer on March 25. The passenger, a WSB-TV employee, asked for the driver to meet him in the airport’s lower level and not the taxi stand immediately outside the ticketing facility.
Regardless, an airport spokesperson told WSB-TV that Uber is not allowed to operate anywhere on airport property, claiming that only properly credentialed and permitted commercial vehicles can pick up passengers. The spokesperson added that Uber vehicles operate illegally and will be impounded.

An Uber spokesperson told the station that the ridesharing company wanted to work with airport officials to ensure that their drivers can operate on airport property.
