Car Chase into Newton County; Dollar General Shoplifting

This report is from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Aug. 1-3.

Zone 1

Arrest – Wayne Goodrum was arrested during a traffic stop in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Newton County.

Zone 2

Extra Patrol – An unknown subject was observed ringing the doorbell at a residence on Whitney Rd. Extra patrol was requested.

Arrest – Tiffani Edmondson was arrested on Misty Lane for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County.

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – A white F-150 truck was observed driving recklessly in the areas of Pleasant Valley Rd. and Old Monroe Madison Ave. Extra patrol requested.

Extra Patrol – An unknown person was reportedly attempting to gain entrance into a residence on Parkview Drive. Extra patrol requested.

Extra Patrol – Four wheelers were reportedly in the roadway on Snows Mill and Powers Rd.

Theft – A purse was taken from a vehicle located on Anne Marie Lane.

Shoplifting – Bridget Dingler and Kelly Head were both arrested on Walker Park Drive for shoplifting at the Dollar General on Hwy 11.

Damage – The light pole at the front entrance of Providence Club Drive in the Providence Club subdivision was struck by vehicle.

Zone 4
Arrest – Christopher Segars was arrested on Jack Glass Rd. in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County.

Zone 5
Dispute –Alicia Forrester was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a dispute with another subject on Hwy 11.

Chase – Walton County deputies chased Lee Cronan in his red Mustang through Gwinnett, Walton and Newton counties. The subject fled a safety check that was set up on Hwy 81 at Forest Falls. The subject wrecked his vehicle on Alcovy Street in Newton County and was arrested for numerous charges.

Zone 6
Firearms Complaint – Walton County deputies responded to shots fired in the area of Hwy 78. A subject stated that he had killed a snake located at his business.

Arrest – Pennie Poss and Tony Criswell were arrested on N. Sharon Church Rd. for outstanding warrants.

Stolen Vehicle – A transport truck was taken from the Dollar General on Hwy 81.

Arrest – Craig Rice was arrested on Logans Run for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Juvenile Runaway – Two juveniles were seen getting into a gold in color SUV driven by an unknown male subject.

Zone 7
Arrest – Jason Hardman was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop on Guthrie Cemetery Rd.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was entered and items were taken while located on Park Street.
