Patch is a great avenue for readers to share announcements and upcoming events with the community. We love to see our readers posting on the site!

Please remember the following suggestions when posting on Patch:

• Events are happenings with a specific date or dates and time range.
• Posts about registration periods or ongoing happenings that have no specific end date are better served in the announcement section.

Think about it like this -- if it is something other community members can attend on only specific dates, then it is an event. If it is information community members can use to sign up for ongoing classes or pre-register for events, it is an announcement. Other announcements about accomplishments, engagements, births and deaths are always welcome as well.
