Man Stole Car, Rammed Into Another Because He Didn't Like License Plate

Zone 1

Burglary – A burglary report was made at a vacant residence on Leone Ave. Extra patrol was requested.

Theft – The lock to a gate located on Cannon Farm Rd. was cut. Scrap copper was taken from the location.

Suspicious Person – A suspicious subject was reported on Jersey Walnut Grove Rd. The subject left his vehicle on the side of the road.

Stolen Vehicle – A follow-up to a stolen vehicle report was conducted on Saratoga St. The vehicle was found by Walton County deputies and when deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled on foot and was not located.

Zone 2
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at the landfill on Adamson Drive. Juveniles are reportedly playing in the landfill after school hours.

Theft – A golf cart was reportedly taken from a location on Baxter Parkway.

Zone 4
Illegal Hunting – An illegal hunting report was made on Broach Rd.

Damage to Property – The passenger side window on a vehicle was reportedly broken at a location on Old Athens Hwy.

Zone 5
Information Report – A subject on Mountain Creek Church Rd. made a report about mail being taken from mailboxes. A suspect has been named.

Extra Patrol – A white male driving a van pulled into the driveway at a residence on Waterford Lane in the Highlands subdivision and was observed taking pictures. Extra patrol was requested.

Vehicle Accident – A two vehicle accident occurred on Hwy 81 at River Glen.

Extra Patrol – A possible entering auto complaint was made on Bullock Bridge Rd. in the Greenridge Estates subdivision.

Stolen Vehicle – Denny Husic, white male, stole a vehicle from a location in Lawrenceville. He then rammed another vehicle several times for having a license plate he did not like. The subject was followed by a citizen until Walton County deputies took over. The subject was arrested. Marijuana and marijuana scales were found in the vehicle.

Zone 6
Arrest – Arturo Vega was arrested on Tuck Rd. for DUI and Driving with a Suspended License. The subject also had an outstanding warrant.

Trespassing – Multiple calls were made to Anslee Lakes at the Rock Quarry in reference to subjects trespassing in the area.

Theft – A four-wheeler was taken from a residence on Claude Brewer Rd.

Burglary – Items were reportedly taken from a shed located at a residence on Carter Lane. Extra patrol requested.

Alarm- Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Maple Creek Lane in the Maple Creek subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Theft – A lawn mower was taken from a residence on Old Hwy. 138.
