Man Stopped at Safety Check Point Crashes into School Sign, Gets Away

Extra Patrol β Extra patrol was requested at Liberty Hill Church on Liberty Hill Church Rd. in reference to damage made to the parking.

Extra Patrol β A suspicious Chevrolet Camaro was observed in the area of McGarity Rd. The vehicle was occupied by a black male and a white female.

Suspicious Activity β A Hyundai was pulled over on Hwy 81 at Ozora Church Rd. by Walton County deputies in reference to flashing blue lights within the front grill of the Hyundai. The subject later explained that he worked for a security company and forgot to turn the lights off.

Extra Patrol β Threats were made to a business owner on Lance Court.

Safety Check β Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Guthrie Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: Valid driverβs license, vehicle registration and insurance. During the safety check, Joseph Newberry fled the scene and crashed into the front sign at Loganville Christian Academy. He left the scene of the accident and deputies pursued him, but were unsuccessful at apprehending him. Warrants have been taken.
