Monroe Area vs Grady Playoff Game to be Streamed Live on Internet

If you're out of town for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, you can still catch Monroe take on Grady in the second round of the playoffs in a live Internet stream.

On Thanksgiving Day, millions of Americans will plop down in front of the TV to catch the three Turkey Day NFL games. Then on Friday we get to watch our favorite sons compete for this year's high school football titles. The excitement in Walton County this year is that Monroe Area High School is in the hunt. The Purple Hurricanes take on Grady in hopes of moving on to the semi finals.

As the excitement of Georgia’s high school football playoffs continues this weekend, fans will have access to more games than ever before. This Friday night, 35 games, including the one between Monroe and Grady, will be streamed LIVE on WSBtv.com at www.wsbtv.com/footballscores powered by PlayOn! Sports with live highlights and scoring updates. The games are a combination of PlayOn! Sports produced content and school-produced games through the PlayOn School Broadcast Program.

According to a press release, 35 teams in all will be streamed live on the PlayOn! Sports national video portal, www.playonsports.com as well as at www.wsbtv.com/footballscores.com. Fans can access all the games, scores and highlights LIVE on Friday, Nov. 23.

So even if Monroe fans are out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, they still have the opportunity to keep up with the hometown team in its hunt for the 2012 title.
