PODS(R) of Savannah partners with Senior Citizens, Inc. to raise donations for seniors and pets
For the second year, PODS of Savannah, a leader in the moving and storage industry, has partnered with Senior Citizens, Inc.
For the second year, PODS of Savannah, a leader in the moving and storage industry, has partnered with Senior Citizens, Inc. for the “PODS for Pets and People” food drive. The drive serves seniors and their pets. The PODS container will be placed at Chatham Parkway Subaru from Monday, Sept. 15 through Friday, Sept.26 to serve as a collection point.
Senior Citizens, Inc. is asking people to donate non-perishable food and pet supply donations that will benefit the organization’s Meals on Wheels program. This program delivers lunchtime meals to homebound seniors and their pets to help alleviate hunger.
Suggested donations include: canned foods such as meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables; dried foods such as pastas, beans, rice and peas; cereals; peanut butter; jelly; and dry or canned animal food.

“We are thrilled to partner with Senior Citizens. Inc. for the second year in a row to help collect donated items for the ‘PODS for Pets and People’ food drive,” said Shawna Rogy, owner of PODS of Savannah. “At PODS, we enjoy giving back to organizations, especially ones that have done so much for others who are in need.
