CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: August 28, 2014 – September 3, 2014

Zone 1

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Sterling Water Drive in the Lakeshore subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Damage to Property – Damage to a mailbox was reported on Whirlaway Lane.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Hwy 138 at the Maverick Express. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Firearms Complaint – Firearm shots were heard in the areas of Gauntt Rd. and Lower Jersey Rd.

Zone 2
Found Property – A backhoe was reportedly found near a construction site on East Hightower Trail in Social Circle.

Zone 3
Found Property – A firearm was found at the intersection of Hwy 78 and Mount Vernon Rd.

Theft – A cellphone was reportedly taken from a residence on Lavista Drive.


Zone 4
Firearms Complaint – Firearms were heard being discharged around the Mountain Creek Church Rd. area near Summerset subdivision.

Theft – Garbage cans were reportedly taken from a residence on Bradley Ginn Rd.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in reference to vehicles speeding in the John Deere Rd. area.

Damage to Property – A lawn mower was damaged at a residence on Tommy Dillard Rd.

Zone 5
Arrest – Alonzo Mathis turned himself in to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Acorn Way in the Oakmont subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Theft – A golf cart was taken from a residence on Rolling Hills Rd.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 at Forest Falls Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Damage to Property – Sand was reportedly put in the gas tank of a vehicle parked on Cross Lane.

Vehicle Accident – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Tanner Bridge Rd.

Extra Patrol – Vehicles were observed speeding in the area of Grady Smith Rd. Extra patrol was requested.

Theft – A firearm was reported missing from a residence on Rolling Hills Rd. A suspect has been named.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on North Sharon Church Rd. at Yorkshire. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Arrest – Christopher Waldrop was arrested on Tommy Dillard Rd. during a traffic stop, in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 11. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Zone 6
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Shepherds Lane in the Shepherds subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Theft – Fuel was reportedly siphoned from a vehicle parked at a residence on Hodges Rd.

Trespassing – Juveniles were reportedly trespassing on a property on Green Rd. Extra patrol was requested.

Entering Auto – Someone reportedly entered a vehicle parked at a residence on Hwy 20. The window to the vehicle was broken out. Prescription medications, money and auto parts were taken from the vehicle.

Damage to Property – Several vehicles were reportedly damaged by a pellet or BB gun while parked at Coles Automotive Group on Hwy 78. Extra patrol was requested.

Criminal Trespass – Four juveniles were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings after trespassing at the Rock Quarry in the Anslee Lakes subdivision.

Armed Robbery – A white male entered the Citgo on Hwy 20 with a hammer demanding money. The subject left with the cash register heading towards McCullers Rd. The same subject possibly robbed the Exxon on Rosebud Rd. The subject is described as a white male with brown hair, wearing a black Sons of Anarchy shirt and black shoes with white soles.

Criminal Trespass – Subjects were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings after trespassing at the Rock Quarry in the Anslee Lakes subdivision.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. at Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Hwy 78 at the Loganville Auto Auction. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Stolen Vehicle – A red 1997 Chevrolet Lumina was reportedly stolen from a residence on Marce Camp Rd.

Arrest – Michael Moore was arrested on Hwy 20 at Northern Tree Service for an outstanding warrant.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Rosebud Rd. at Esco Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 78. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Garmon Park Court. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Zone 7

Damage to Property – Vulgar language was spray painted on a mailbox at a residence on Lakeside Blvd. in the Meridian Lake subdivision.

Theft – Antibiotics and syringes were taken from a mailbox located on Walnut Avenue at the Walnut Grove Animal Hospital.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Guthrie Cemetery Rd. at the Maximum RX Credit. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Drug Activity – Jessica Korpal and Daniel Michelsen were arrested on Hwy 81 near Dollar General in reference to Poss. of Cocaine and Poss. of Heroin. Jessica Korpal also had an outstanding warrant out of the Norcross Police Department.
