Sheriff's Calls: Food Theft at Waffle House, 'Explosions' Heard, Dirt Bikes on the Road

CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: December 19, 2014 – December 22, 2014

Zone 1
Burglary Report – A residence was reportedly entered on Old Highway 81. Nothing was taken from the residence.

Unsecured Premise – A business on Great Oaks Drive was found open after an employee arrived to work.

Suspicious Activity – A subject on Monroe Jersey Rd. reported that her mail had been tampered with. Extra patrol was requested.

Zone 2

Arrest – Dexter Knox was arrested on Carver Drive in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Ashe Rd. in reference to dirt bikes and four-wheelers riding in the roadway.

Prowler – A subject was observed running through the backyard of a residence on Broach Rd.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Navaho Trail. The backdoor was found open.

Dispute – A subject was issued a Criminal Trespass warning after a dispute with another subject on Oakland Drive.

Arrest – Justin Boyd was arrested on Snows Mill Rd. in reference to a domestic violence incident.

Zone 4
Suspicious Person – A white female subject was transported by EMS to a hospital after acting suspiciously on Preston Connor Blvd.

Zone 5
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Broadnax Court in reference to vehicles speeding in the area.

Burglary Attempt – A burglary attempt was reported on Bullock Bridge Rd. Extra Patrol was requested.

Suspicious Vehicle – Two subjects were observed on Lois Lane at a location without the homeowners consent.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd. at Old Zion Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Arrest – David Eugene Adams was arrested on Hwy 11 in reference to an outstanding warrant.

Zone 6
Firearms – Firearms were heard discharging in the area of Youth Monroe Rd.

Arrest – Manley Hyde was arrested on Hwy 20 in reference to DUI, Speeding and Violation of a DUI Permit.

Suspicious Noise – Several reports of an β€œexplosion” noise was heard in the Lexington Drive area.

Arrest – Samantha Yarbrough was arrested on Conyers Rd. in reference to drug activity.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on South Sharon Church Rd. in reference to dirt bikes riding in the Sharon Elementary School parking lot.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check Hwy 20 at Ivory Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Unsecured Premise – An open door was found at a residence on Meadow Creek Court.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on McCullers Lane in the McCullers Acres subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Prowler – A white male subject was observed in the yard of a residence on Old Broadnax Mill Rd.

Entering Auto – Two vehicles were entered on Windermere Drive in the Hidden Creek subdivision. Nothing was reported stolen.


Zone 7
Suspicious Person – Two subjects were observed in the Walnut Grove Library parking lot after hours. The subjects were directed to leave the premises.

Suspicious Person – A subject was located at Dollar General on Hwy 81 acting suspiciously.

Power Outage – A tree fell on power lines caused a power outage on Centerhill Church Rd. Walton EMC corrected the issue.

Theft – Subjects left the Waffle House on Walnut Avenue without paying for their food. Subjects were described as a white male and white female, approximately 30 years old. The subjects left in an unknown vehicle.

Firearms – Firearms were heard in the area of Rowe Rd.
