Sheriff's Calls: Loud Christmas Music, Asphalt Salesmen, Drunken Disturbance

CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: December 5, 2014 – December 7, 2014

Zone 1
Loud Music Complaint – Christmas music was played all day and night at a residence on Barrett Woods Drive. Walton County deputies responded multiple times to the residence.

Nothing to Report

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – Prescription medication was taken from a residence on Brentwood Blvd. Extra patrol was requested. A suspect has been named.

Zone 4
Arrest – George Connelly was arrested on Highway 11 at Campton Restaurant for being drunk and causing a disturbance.

Extra Patrol – A pickup truck with a loud exhaust was observed in the area of Tommy Dillard Rd.

Zone 5
Extra Patrol – Suspicious vehicles were observed near the pool on Morgans Run.

Burglary – A residence was entered on Autumn Trace in the Mountain Creek subdivision. Several items were taken from the residence.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check near Hwy 81 at Bold Springs Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrests were made during the safety check.

Damage to Property – A mailbox was damaged on White Columns Drive.

Found Property – An IPad that had been reported stolen from a residence on Autumn Trace was found at a residence in Barrow County. The owner used the Find My IPad app.

Zone 6
Extra Patrol – Several subjects were observed going door to door attempting to sell asphalt on Horseshoe Rd. The subjects were described as a Hispanic male driving a burgundy Ford truck; a white male driving a blue Dodge truck; and an unknown driver in a maroon Silverado truck.

Arrest – Candice Bracht was arrested on Hwy 78 at the Gwinnett County line for an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Highway 20 in reference to recent burglaries in the area.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check near GA 20 at Ivory Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Sergio Batchelor was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Rockdale County.

Suspicious Activity – Subjects in two separate vehicles were observed acting suspiciously on Hwy 20. Walton County deputies approached the subjects, who stated they were pulled over to look at their GPS to get home.

Zone 7
Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check Virginia Way in the Jefferson Plantation subdivision. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrests were made during the safety check.

Arrest – German Garcia was arrested on Hwy 81 at Robertson Rd. in reference to DUI, Driving without a license, Open Container, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

Arrest – Augustin Hernandez was arrested on Walnut Avenue at Leon Avenue for DUI and Driving with a license.

Entering Auto – A battery was taken from a vehicle at a residence on Bypass Rd.
