CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: May 21, 2015 – May 26, 2015


Zone 1
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Sterling Water Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Suspicious Vehicle / Discharging Firearms – Several gunshots were reported in the area of Forrester Cemetery Rd. and a white work van with Genesis in green lettering on the side was reportedly seen in the area. Area checked. No contact.

Damage to Property – Damage to a vehicle on Nowell Way was reported. Unknown when damage occurred.

Shoplifting – Two chairs were reportedly taken from the Dollar General on Hwy 138. Chairs were reportedly taken by a white, female with grey hair driving a white, Ford Taurus with a drive out tag.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Papa Johnβ€˜s on Hwy 138. Business checked. Everything okay.

Theft Report – A chain saw was reportedly stolen from a residence on Lower Jersey Rd.

Theft Report – A lawn mower was reportedly stolen from a residence on Hwy 81.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Fairway Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Main St. Business checked. Everything okay.

Arrest – Akara Newson was arrested for DUI drugs in the area of Hwy 138 following a traffic stop.

Damage to Property – Subject witnessed a vehicle strike a mailbox on HD Atha Rd. Catherine Oworu was cited for Failure to Notify Owner upon Striking Fixture.

Stolen Vehicle – A Chevrolet S10 drag racing truck was reportedly stolen from Hwy 138 and Youth Jersey Rd.

Zone 2
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Lemonds Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Fraud – Subject at a residence on Chicks Bridge Rd. reported debit card was used at the Hampton Georgia Pinnacle Bank.

Zone 3
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Turkey Mountain Trail. Accident handled by Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Randolph Still Rd. regarding juveniles riding four wheelers after 6:00 p.m.

Discharging Firearms – Firearms reportedly being discharged in the area of Hwy 83. Contact made. Subjects were shooting in a safe manner.

Arrest – Harold Dean Swords was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Monroe Police Department in the area of Snows mill Rd. and Oconee County Line.

Harassing Phone Calls – Subject at a residence on Mt. Carmel Church Rd. reportedly has received numerous calls from someone stating they were from IRS and stating subject was under investigation.

Power Lines Down – Power lines were reportedly down in the area of Dial Rd. Turned over to Walton EMC.

Arrest – Jason Hayes was taken into custody at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office after turning himself in.

Arrest – Casey Giuffrida was arrested for an outstanding warrant at the Sizemore Plaza.

Zone 4
Damage to Property - Front door reportedly damaged of a room being rented on James Huff Rd.

Found Property – A duffel bag was reportedly found with clothes in it in the area of Doster Ave.

Burglary Report – A residence on Hwy 11 was reportedly entered. Nothing reported missing.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Hearn Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Loud Music – Loud music reported in the area of Mountain Creek Church Rd. and Walton Rd. Subject was trying to fix speakers in vehicle. Subject stated he would not turn system up anymore.

Arrest – Lalo Perez was arrested for DUI, No Drivers License and Failure to Maintain Lane in the area of North Broad St. and Hwy 78.

Theft Report – A residence on Eliza Doster Rd. was stripped of wiring and five rolls of roof tar. Incident occurred over the weekend, May 22, 2015 and May 24, 2015.

Zone 5
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Piney Grove Rd. and Summit Ct. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Hector Campos-Luna was arrested for Driving while Unlicensed as a result of the safety check.

Shoplifting – Charcoal was reportedly stolen from the Dollar General on Walker Park Dr. Subject is reportedly a black male in his 50s driving a green minivan with no tag.

Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Piney Grove Rd. and Etchison Rd. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Juvenile Problem – A passerby reported juvenile possibly throwing rocks at vehicles in the area of June Ivey Rd. and Marigold Dr. Contact was made with juvenile. Juvenile transported back to residence. No evidence of damage to property.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Plantation Creek Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Arrest – Trisha Davies was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Rd.

Theft Report – A residence was reportedly entered on Nicholsville Rd. A 50” television and two rings were taken.

Found Property – A backpack was reportedly found on Hwy 78 in the area of Stone Mountain Pecan. Unable to make contact with owner of backpack.

Disturbing the Peace – Fireworks reported in the area of Piney Grove Rd. Fireworks ceased upon deputy’s arrival.

Damage to Property – Subject at a residence on Highlands Blvd. reported the grill of her Nissan Maxima was reportedly damaged during the night hours.

Entering Auto- A 2007 Ford F150 was reportedly entered at a residence on Hwy 11. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Accident – An accident occurred in the area of June Ivey Rd. and Mitchell Rd. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Zone 6
Trespassing – Subject on Thomas Dr. reported numerous subjects reportedly trespassing at Rock Quarry.

Trespassing – Subject on Annslee Ln reported numerous subjects reportedly trespassing at Rock Quarry.

Arrest - Chad Michael Brooks was arrested for Driving with Suspended License in the area of Ga 20 and Thompson Rd.

Entering Auto- A vehicle was entered at a residence on Gum Creek Church Rd. Nothing was taken from vehicle.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was entered at Britton Automotive Group on Hwy 78. The air conditioning control module and glove box were taken.

Arrest – Christopher Greene and Eric Ramey were arrested on drug charges in the area of Youth Monroe Rd. following a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Suspicious Vehicle – Three subjects were given criminal trespass warnings for the Rock Quarry following a complaint from a residence on Annslee Ln.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Lance Ct. Business checked. Everything okay.

Agency Assist – Walton County deputy responded to a hit and run accident at Hwy 20 and the Rockdale County Line. Deputy ensured medical assistance was not needed and vehicles were out of the roadway. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Lochview Dr. during the evening hours after someone burned a hole in a graduation sign. Also, history of beer cans being put in mailboxes.

Trespassing – Criminal trespass warnings issued for the Rock Quarry following a complaint from a subject on Ashton Walk.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Rd. and Green Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Trespassing – Subjects were reportedly trespassing at Rock Quarry. Area checked. No contact.

Stolen Vehicle – Subject on Centerhill Church Rd. reportedly allowed one of his employees to borrow a vehicle to work at some other jobs. Vehicle was never returned. Vehicle was located on Hamlet Dr.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was reportedly entered by a male subject at a residence on Meadow Glen Ln in Hidden Creek Subdivision. Male subject ran when confronted by resident owner. Nothing reported missing from vehicle.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was reportedly entered at a residence on Meadow Glen Ln. in Hidden Creek Subdivision. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a panic alarm at a residence on Victoria Park Dr. Subject was located and transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Thompson Rd. and Clay Dr. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Theft Report – A lawn mower and weed eater were reportedly stolen from a garage of a residence on Fieldwood Lane sometime during the past week.

Zone 7
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Briscoe Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Papa John’s Pizza on Hwy 138. Alarm accidentally set off by employees.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at All Turf on Guthrie Cemetery Rd. Business checked. Everything okay.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 138 and Woodlake Subdivision. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Artavious Colquitt was arrested for Driving while Unlicensed and Fleeing and Attempting to Elude and Charles White was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce as a result of the safety check.

Accident – Two vehicle accident on Hwy 81 and Green Circle. No injuries. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Cambridge Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Monticello Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Atha Road Elementary School. An alarm on a bus was going off. Bus was checked. Everything okay.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Magnolia Dr. in reference to a Coyote in the area.

Theft Report – A check was reportedly stolen from a mailbox of a residence on Hwy 138. Check was reportedly washed, rewritten and attempted to be cashed at a bank.

Arrest – Tammy Sue Walker Reynolds was arrested for Battery at a residence on Cambridge Dr.
