Walton Sheriff's Office: Sticks Thrown at Cars; Driver Injured

This report is from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Aug. 4-5.

Zone 1

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Creekside Drive in the Lakeshore Estates. All appeared secure.

Damage – A residence on Geoffrey Lane was spray painted by unknown individuals.

Suspicious Person – A white male in a gray pickup truck was observed sleeping in his truck during the night while parked at a business on Hwy 138. Extra patrol was requested.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 at Habersham Circle. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 2

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hawkins Academy Rd. at Knox Chapel Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 3

Extra Patrol – A suspicious van was observed at a residence on Paul Malcom Rd. Extra patrol requested.

Loud Music Complaint – Loud music was heard coming from a residence on Peters Cemetery Rd.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Old Monroe Madison Hwy. All appeared secure.

Zone 4

Theft – Garden equipment was taken from a residence on Mount Vernon Rd.

Zone 5

Suspicious Vehicle – A white male and female were found in the area of Bold Springs Rd. at the Bold Springs Park, engaging in sexual activity.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd. at Old Zion Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Suspicious Person – A subject reported that a shed at his residence on Bullock Lane was being burglarized. Nothing was found missing.

Unsecured Premises – The back door to a residence was found unlocked after Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call. The owner was notified.

Prowler – A white male subject was observed lurking around a residence on Bullock Lane.

Zone 6

Suspicious Vehicle – A dump truck was found on Karlee Blvd. The owner was advised.

Agency Assist – Walton County deputies assisted the Loganville Police Department with searching for subjects who were observed throwing sticks at passing vehicles on Conyers Rd. and Sharon Church Rd. One driver was struck in the head, which cause a large laceration.

Burglary Attempt – A male subject was observed attempting to enter a window at a residence on Wagon Trail in the Wagon Trail subdivision.

Zone 7

Suspicious Activity – Jose Villanueva was found to be in possession marijuana and a pipe after a suspicious vehicle call. Subject was cited and released.
