• Coweta County Tax Commissioner's Office Announces Mailing of 2026 Property Tax Bills (thecitizen.com) — Coweta County has mailed 2026 property tax bills, and Newnan-area property owners must pay by Monday, December 7 or face late charges. You can pay online, by phone, by mail, or in person at the Newnan Station Drive tax office, which also offers a drive-thru and drop box. If you do not receive your bill by mid-October, you’re urged to print it from the county website. 
• Country Inn & Suites in Newnan receives a 60% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — If you stay or host guests at Country Inn & Suites on Newnan Crossing Boulevard, be aware the hotel scored just 60 out of 100 on a September 25 health inspection. State inspectors cited issues from food safety and employee health policies to dented cans, poor temperature control, chemical storage, and dirty restroom fixtures, though some violations were fixed on the spot.

Now 14 and thriving in a new home, the child saw his abuser sentenced to 40 years in prison plus 20 years’ probation, while officials remind Coweta County residents how to report suspected child abuse in Georgia.
