First Council Meeting of the Year Today

Because New Year's Day fell on Sunday, City Hall was closed the following day, Monday, Jan. 2. 

Following a new policy adopted in 2011, the City Council will meet today, Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The Mayor Pro Tem will be voted on at that meeting and the Mayor and two Councilmembers will start a new term in office. The new Police Chief, Warren Summers, will also be sworn in.

The January Policy Work session also falls on a holiday, so it will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
