Press Release: British Car Fayre Rolls Into Norcross September 12
Free Festival in Historic Downtown District to Feature Hundreds of Classic British Cars and Motorcycles, Plus an Exciting New Addition
Norcross, Ga. – September 3, 2015 – From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 12, Historic Downtown Norcross will be transformed to the streets of merry old England as the 15th Annual British Car Fayre rolls into town. Showcasing an impressive collection of the most sublime sports cars, sedans and cycles to ever hop the pond, the festival will also feature an exciting new addition – The Car Boot Sale. Entrepreneurial participants and local merchants alike have been invited to fill their boot (British slang for “trunk of the car”) with loot in this English version of a yard sale. Festival attendees will no doubt enjoy this fresh twist on a sidewalk sale, and may even walk away with a treasure or two.
Throughout the event, downtown boutiques and restaurants will add to the fun with opportunities to shop, win exciting raffles, and enjoy authentic British food and activities. Festival attendees won’t want to miss traditional English fish & chips from the Iron Horse Tavern, visits to the Vintage English Tea Room at the Masonic Lodge, and awards ceremony/raffle drawing in the DJ tent at 1:30 p.m.
Norcross neighbors and visitors from all throughout the Southeast are expected to number in the thousands as people peruse perennial favorites that include Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Triumph and everything in between. Proceeds from this year’s British Car Fayre benefit the Amanda Riley Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with children battling cancer and their families in the Atlanta area. As always, admission to this annual event is free to the public. Free shuttle buses will run regularly between 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. from One Heart Church on North Peachtree Street and Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church on Hunter Street to and from Historic Norcross.
