Norcross, Ga. – September 10, 2015 – On Saturday, September 19, small town charm meets a gala of global proportions as Historic Downtown Norcross plays host to the Fifth Annual Gateway International Food & Music Festival. Hosted at Lillian Webb Park from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., this free annual affair affords attendees a rare chance to go on a worldwide trek without ever leaving the city. Korean, Indian, and Latin American cultures will be honored throughout the day and throughout the park. Patrons can sample from international fare with over 12 food vendors ready to serve up a special taste of their country. Enjoy cultural music and dancing, pay a visit to the Kidszone and celebrate the diversity that makes this Gwinnett County community such a wonderful place to work, live and play. Live performances by Pepe Lopez and Nelson Y Su Combo will feature a variety of toe-tapping, tropical sounds, including mariachi, salsa, merengue and bachata.

“The Gateway Festival will be a day to taste and enjoy foods from different countries, experience cultural dances and listen to diverse music,” said Detective Arelis Rivera of the City of Norcross’ Community Outreach Department.

Please note: Absolutely no shade structures (including tents or umbrellas) will be allowed at the event and must be dismantled if erected. Lawn chairs welcome.
