Emory Named Top College in Georgia
The Center for World University Rankings released their list of the top 1,000 colleges around the world on Monday morning.

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), publisher of the largest academic ranking of global universities, named Emory University the No. 1 college in Georgia.
Harvard was named the world's top university in the rankings, which were released Monday morning, July 11.

The center used indicators such as quality of education and faculty; citations; patents; and alumni employment, among other factors, to determine its rankings.
The top 10 global universities were:
- Harvard
- Stanford
- MIT
- Cambridge
- Oxford
- Columbia
- Berkeley
- Chicago
- Princeton
- Yale
The Center for World University Rankings said it publishes the only global university ranking that measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research without relying on surveys and university data submissions.
