Abraham Lincoln Comes to Toco Hill

This traveling exhibition for libraries, was organized by the National Constitution Center and the American Library Association Public Programs Office and it examines the legal issues Abraham Lincoln faced in confronting a divided Union during the Civil War.

The traveling exhibition has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War is based on an exhibition of the same name developed by the National Constitution Center. The exhibition opens Wednesday, July 20 with a special reception at 7:00 p.m. Programs relating to the exhibit will be scheduled throughout the summer by the Georgia Center for the Book, including lectures by historian , Associate Professor at the University of Georgia, and , a scholar of American legal history at John Marshall School of Law in Atlanta. The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours through September 2. 

Monday and Tuesday:  10am - 8pm
Wednesday through Saturday:  10am - 5pm
