2 Arrested In Gwinnett Shootings, Robberies
Investigators say that, after the men's initial arrests, they were determined to have been involved in an entire string of crimes.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Two Gwinnett County men are under arrest, accused of involvement in a string of recent robberies and a pair of shootings.
Dametrius Marquel Sims, 23, was arrested Oct. 13 for his role in the robbery of a Papa John's pizza delivery driver. During the investigation, Gwinnett County Police say the lead detective in the case found evidence that Sims was involved in four additional armed robberies.
Among those was the Oct. 9 robbery and shooting of a driver for Marco's Pizza at 4045 Five Forks Trickum Rd. in Lilburn. Sims has been charged in each of the cases.

In two of those robberies, police say, Oshay Quante Howard, 20, also was involved. He was arrested and taken into custody on Oct. 31. He has also been charged for his involvement in what police describe as a shootout on Oct. 1 at Midnight Blue Cafe in Norcross.
Sims is linked to an August robbery at Steak and Shake, the September robbery of a Chinese food delivery driver and an October robbery at Golden Corral, as well as the robbery of the Papa John's driver and the robbery and shooting of the Marco's Pizza driver.

Howard was involved in the Golden Corral and Marco's Pizza robberies, as well as the Midnight Blu shooting, according to police.


In all, Sims faces multiple charges of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and multiple counts of criminal attempt.
Howard is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and two counts of criminal attempt in the robberies and aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for the Midnight Blu shooting.
