County Approves Purchase of Simpsonwood Property
Commissioners OK $14 million for the retreat property in Peachtree Corners.

Gwinnett County commissioners have approved the purchase of the Simpsonwood Conference Center and Retreat property in Peachtree Corners.
The Gwinnett Daily Post reported the Board of Commissioners approved $14 million for purchase of the property, and authorized Board Chair Charlotte Nash to work out the deal with the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, which owns the property.
The conference decided last month to empower its Board of Trustees to complete the sale, and to preserve a chapel, chimney and artifacts located on the property.
