Norcross Man Killed in Sandy Springs Double Homicide

The Sandy Springs Police Department is asking anyone to come forward with information that could lead to the capture of the suspect behind Sunday evening’s double murder.

Two men — 23-year old Byron Caseres of Norcross and 27-year old Freddie Vega of Sandy Springs — were found shot to death around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 inside Vega’s apartment unit at the Sovereign Place Apartments, located at 200 Franklin Road.

Detectives with the agency continue to build leads in the case and no motive has been determined, spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon said.

Additionally, Sandy Springs police is a member of Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta, so anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and convictions of those responsible for the crime are eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
