Police ID Driver of Work Van in Fatal I-85 Wreck
The single-vehicle accident closed lanes at the Center Way overpass Monday afternoon.
The driver who was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon that closed southbound lanes on I-85 near Norcross has been identified.
Gwinnett Police said John Beebout of Oakwood died when his work van crashed into the side of the side at the Center Way overpass, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
Police told the Post they don’t know why Beebout lost control.

Beebout died at the scene.
