A Peachtree Corners restaurant, which had back-to-back failing scores on recent health department inspections, fared considerably better on its latest follow-up.

Kool Runnings, located at 5450 Peachtree Parkway, scored 95 (out of 100) on a May 5 inspection, according to Gwinnett Health Department data.
The restaurant had previously scored 44 on May 1 and 63 on April 24.

Observations: Potentially hazardous foods not properly cooled by effective methods (shallow pans, ice water bath, adding ice as an ingredient, etc.). Cooked meats, rice & beans, pasta were cooling in deep, covered containers, below food held cold, in the walkin cooler. Pasta was uncovered. Rice & beans, cooked meats were broken down into smaller batches, placed into ice baths & stirred routinely. The most current inspection report was not posted. The 12/15/2014 85/B inspection report was posted.
