Restaurant Passes Re-Test After Health Score of 29

A Peachtree Corners-area restaurant that scored 29 (out of 100) on a Gwinnett County Health Department inspection last week fared more than 60 points better on its re-test.

Sushi Yoko Japanese Restaurant, located at 7124 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, drew a grade of 91/A on a June 2 re-inspection (see info below) with far fewer violations than were cited less that two weeks before.

On May 21, the restaurant failed an inspection, which resulted in more than two pages of violations listed in the inspector’s report. Among the violations was food preparation by the sushi chef, who did not follow the proper procedures for keeping hands clean.
