Walmart Pepper-Spraying Shoplifter May Be Out of State
She allegedly sprayed employee while escaping from the Walmart store on Pleasant Hill Road with cart full of stolen items.
Police said the shoplifting suspect in last week’s bizarre pepper-spray incident at a local Walmart may have left the state.
The woman, identified as Kahala Johnson, of Jacksonville, Fla., allegedly shoplifted several items at the Pleasant Hill Road store on Oct. 8, then pepper-sprayed an employee as she fled with a full shopping cart.
The AJC reported Duluth Police have expanded their search to include other states. The woman has seven other shoplifting charges pending in Gwinnett, the newspaper reported.

“The female walked into the Wal-Mart with the pepper spray in her hand, apparently ready for any contact with the store’s staff,” Duluth Police said on Facebook. “The female did not hesitate to use the pepper spray twice on the Wal-Mart employee in the attempt to steal the items.”
The woman got away in a dark-colored Dodge Charger or Challenger.
