Commissioners approve bid towards traffic signal and sidewalk project (bryancountynews.com) — Bryan County commissioners have approved a nearly $719,000 bid for a new traffic signal and sidewalk project at Harris Trail and Timber Trail Roads, a joint effort with the City of Richmond Hill that will directly affect local drivers and pedestrians. The board also advanced a 2025 road striping contract, reappointed a library board member, and heard concerns from a Richmond Hill resident about protecting historic sites.

The meeting highlighted both promises of cleaner, reusable water and deep skepticism from coastal residents worried about river health, future industry, and long-term impacts on fishing and crabbing families.
