• Education Briefs June 8 (valdostadailytimes.com) — Area colleges are celebrating spring 2026 graduates and honor students, including Georgia State University dean’s list honoree Kamariya Lawrence of Quitman. From UNG and Georgia Military College to South Georgia State and Georgia State, dozens of South Georgia students are being recognized for strong GPAs, advanced degrees, and academic honors that reflect well on their hometowns.
