The announcement capped days of student, alumni, and family activities, with a full Homecoming Court representing all four high school grades.
   

• Nine Lowndes County Schools earn John Hancock Student Signature Award for excellence in cursive writing (valdostadailytimes.com) — Students at Hahira Elementary and Hahira Middle are among nine Lowndes County schools honored statewide for outstanding cursive writing, earning the John Hancock Banner and Ribbon of Distinction. The Georgia Department of Education recognized them during Constitution Week, highlighting how cursive supports literacy, history learning, and civic understanding as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
