ā¢ Small earthquake reported this morning in Forest Park (11alive.com) ā A recent pattern of small earthquakes around Georgia includes a 2.1 magnitude tremor in Forest Park and a recent quake recorded in Resaca on August 22. While experts say Georgia lacks clearly defined active faults, northwest Georgia, including the Resaca area, sees more frequent minor quakes due to its proximity to a more active seismic zone.
