1 Killed After Truck Strikes Utility Pole In Roswell

The accident was reported Monday afternoon on Hardscrabble Road between Highway 92 and King Road.

ROSWELL, GA -- One person is dead after a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole Monday afternoon in Roswell.

The single vehicle accident was reported on Hardscrabble Road between Highway 92 and King Road, the agency said.

The passenger in the vehicle was killed while the driver, who was conscious and alert on the scene, was taken to the hospital, Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app).

Holland said the pole was split in half and Georgia Power is on the scene making repairs. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
