What began as a daily summer writing exercise became an exciting achievement for nine-year-old Neal Rajpura, the completion of his first children&rsquo;s book, The Vine, the Stove, and the Pig.<a href="https://a.co/d/04LRlkSt" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">https://a.co/d/04LRlkSt</a>Neal&rsquo;s parents encouraged him to spend an hour each day practicing writing and typing during the summer. Although he was not always enthusiastic about the assignment, Neal stayed with it&mdash;and eventually transformed his ideas into a complete book.The Vine, the Stove, and the Pig is an original fairy tale about two siblings, Malend and Henry, who take the same journey but make very different choices along the way. Kindhearted Malend helps a dry grapevine, a broken stove, and a dirty pig without expecting anything in return. Her kindness eventually leads her to seven fairies and a room filled with gold.Henry follows the same path hoping to receive the same reward, but he soon discovers that kindness cannot be faked. Through the siblings&rsquo; contrasting adventures, the story introduces young readers to important lessons about generosity, honesty, hard work, and the consequences of taking shortcuts.Creating the book required patience and dedication. Neal worked on developing the story, shaping its characters, and turning his imaginative tale into a book that children and families could enjoy together.Neal brings humor to his accomplishment in his author&rsquo;s note, explaining that although he complained about his daily assignment just as Henry complains about chores in the story, he ultimately finished the job&mdash;and wrote an entire book.Neal would also like to thank his parents and teachers for believing in him, encouraging his creativity, and putting so much time and effort into helping him learn and grow. Their guidance and support played an important role in helping him reach this special milestone.At only nine years old, Neal has shown how a simple summer assignment, combined with imagination, encouragement, and perseverance, can grow into something truly special. His accomplishment is an inspiring reminder to other young students that their ideas can become real stories when they are willing to keep working on them.

Nine-Year-Old Roswell Student Turns a Summer Assignment into His First Book

True Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling Gives $3,000 to Alma Mater Centennial High School Through "True &#128154; ATL" Community Campaign
Company owners, both 2003 Centennial grads, support their alma mater as students return for the school year
ROSWELL, Ga. &mdash; True Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling has presented Centennial High School with a $3,000 donation through "True &#128154; ATL," the company's ongoing community giving campaign supporting local schools and organizations across metro Atlanta.
The check was presented to the school on July 30, just days ahead of the start of the 2026-27 school year&mdash;timing that wasn't lost on the company's founders, both of whom walked Centennial's halls as students two decades ago.
True Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling was founded by licensed master plumber Ryan Hanson in 2014, later welcoming&nbsp; his business partner and childhood friend, Paul Schrafft. The two graduated from Centennial High School together in 2003, and Schrafft still lives in the Horseshoe Bend community just down the road.
"It means a lot to me to be able to give back to the school that helped shape me. As a teenager I was always tinkering in my dad&rsquo;s workshop in Rivermont, so for my plumbing company to support my high school feels like a full-circle moment," said Hanson, founder of True Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling.
"Centennial was the new kid on the block in 2003. It&rsquo;s been a pleasure to live nearby as an adult to watch it grow&mdash;and to know that someday I&rsquo;ll send my own kids there,&rdquo; added Schrafft.
The Centennial High School gift is the latest in a series of local sponsorships and donations under the True &#128154; ATL banner, which supports nonprofit organizations across the communities True Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling serves, including Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Brookhaven.
