2 Killed in Collision Involving School Bus in Roswell

A total of four special needs students from Roswell High School were on the bus, and police say they are "OK."

ROSWELL, GA -- Two motorists were killed Monday afternoon in a collision involving a special needs bus from Roswell High School.

Residents are asked to avoid the area of Highway 92/Woodstock Road and West Road due to the accident. One westbound lane is open, and eastbound lanes of travel are being diverted through West Road.

Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said there were four students on the school bus, which was transporting special needs students from Roswell High School.

"They are OK," she said. "We are waiting on another bus to arrive to pick them up."

However, the two men in the passenger vehicle involved in the crash weren't so lucky. Holland said it's unclear how the accident happened, but noted the vehicle came to a rest under the bus. Both men, she added, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
