6th District Race: Sen. David Perdue Endorses Dan Moody
Moody is one of 11 Republicans running in the April 18 special election to fill the Congressional seat vacated by Tom Price.
ROSWELL, GA -- Karen Handel and Jon Ossoff aren't the only 6th Congressional District candidates getting big-name endorsements in their bids to replace Tom Price in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Dan Moody, another Republican in the race to fill the seat, has received the endorsement from U.S. Senator David Perdue.
Perdue, Georgia's junior senator, is "seen as a major force for change and getting things done in Washington, and is a staunch ally of President Donald Trump," Moody's campaign said.

"In politics, there are endorsements and there are endorsements," Moody said. "This is an endorsement with a capital "E," and I couldn't be prouder to have David's support. He is one of the top, get-things-done members of the Senate and I look forward to helping him strike while the iron is hot and implement real conservative change in Washington."
In an ad posted on YouTube, Perdue tells the viewer that voters sent him to Washington, D.C., to help "fix a broken system." With President Donald Trump in office, Perdue and his allies finally have a real chance to work towards that goal.

"Trust me, we don't need another career politician up here," he said. "Dan Moody cares more about getting results than getting credit. That's so uncommon and exactly what we need. Dan's one of us."
Moody said he will join Sen. Perdue as an "effective doer" to repeal Obamacare, cut the federal budget and overhaul the tax code.
Moody, who lives in Johns Creek, served in the Georgia State Senate as a Republican from 2002 to 2010.
Moody's announcement follows fellow Republican Karen Handel picking up the endorsement from former Sen. Saxby Chambliss and Democrat Jon Ossoff receiving the backing of former Gov. Roy Barnes.
