Alien Half Marathon Will Close Some Roswell Streets
Residents should expect closures to take place between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.

The Area 13.1/Alien Half Marathon will affect certain roads in Roswell between 6:40 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 22, the city said.
The half marathon starts on Riverside Road at 7 p.m. in front of Riverside Park, and the 5K portion of the race starts at 7:10 p.m.

Specific closure times are as follows:
- Both lanes of Riverside Road from S.R. 9 to Dogwood/Old Alabama Road will be closed from 6:40 p.m. until approximately 7:20 p.m.
- Southbound Dogwood Road from Grimes Bridge Road to Riverside Road will also be closed at 6:40 p.m. Riverside Road will reopen when the last runners turn towards Old Alabama Road at Dogwood Road.
- Runners will run on a trail from Don White Park back towards and under S.R. 9.
- The eastbound lane of Azalea Drive will be closed from 7:20 p.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m. from S.R. 9 to Willeo Road.
- All of Willeo Road will be closed from Azalea Drive to Bywater Trail from 7:20 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
- The eastbound lane of Willeo Road and Lower Roswell Road will be closed from Bywater Trail, through the roundabout to Waterford Green Drive from 7:30 p.m. to approximately 10:15 p.m.
- On return, runners will use the trail from Willeo Road towards and under S.R. 9.
